A solar & battery system designed for your home
Not a template. Not a phone estimate. A licensed Nuvolt electrician comes to your home, audits how you actually use power, and designs your solar and battery system properly: panel layout, battery sizing, backup circuits, the lot, in a written specification that is yours to keep.
The full $399 is credited off your installation if you go ahead with Nuvolt.
We run a maximum of three design visits a week, so every design gets the electrician's full attention.
The design visit covers our core Sunshine Coast area, serviced from our Nambour and Caloundra bases: Caboolture and Bribie Island up to Noosa, and across the hinterland. Further out? We still come to you, we just confirm a small travel charge with you before anything is booked.

Pick a weekday time that suits you and pay the $399 securely online. We'll ask for a recent power bill before the visit so your usage numbers are real ones.
We audit your home on site
A licensed Nuvolt electrician spends up to two hours at your place: usage, switchboard, meter, roof, shading and your backup power wishes. Questions answered on the spot.
Your design, in writing
Within 3 business days you get a written solar + battery design specification for your home and a fixed-price quote for that exact system. Go ahead with Nuvolt and the full $399 comes off your installation.
A real design from a real audit
- A full on-site energy audit: your bills, usage patterns, appliances and what actually runs at night
- Roof assessment with a panel layout drawn for your actual roof, orientation and shading
- Battery sized from your real evening and overnight usage, not a one-size-fits-all figure
- Inverter and battery selection across the brands we install, matched to your home and budget
- Backup power plan: which circuits stay on when the grid goes down, and what that takes
- Switchboard and supply capacity assessment, so there are no surprises at install
- Energex or Ergon connection and export rules factored into the design from day one
- STC and battery rebate eligibility worked out for your exact system
- A written design specification that is yours to keep, whoever you build with
- A fixed-price installation quote for the exact system designed
You deal directly with a licensed contractor (Lic# 92489), not a call centre or a commission salesperson.

About the $99 site inspection →Read a sample design spec
Don't take our word for what "a written design specification" means. We've published a sample of the actual document, prepared for a representative Sunshine Coast home: the usage audit, the panel layout drawn for the roof, the battery sizing, the backup circuit plan and the switchboard assessment.
Yours is written for your home. This is the shape of what you walk away with.

Straight answers on the $399 design visit, what you get in writing and what happens next, from the licensed contractor doing the work.
What exactly do I get for the $399?
A proper engineering job, not a sales quote. A licensed electrician audits your home's energy usage on site, assesses your roof, switchboard and supply, then designs a solar and battery system specifically for your home: panel layout, inverter and battery selection, backup circuits and rebate eligibility. It all lands as a written design specification plus a fixed-price quote for that exact system.
Do I get the $399 back?
Yes, in full, if you go ahead with the installation with Nuvolt. The full $399 is credited straight off your installation invoice. If you decide not to proceed, the design specification is yours to keep either way.
Is the design mine to keep?
Completely. You paid for it, so it's yours: the usage audit, the system design and the specification document. You can use it to compare quotes, hold on to it for later, or hand it to another installer. We think the design will speak for itself.
How is this different from the $99 site inspection?
The $99 site inspection prices a specific job quickly, with a written quote the same day. The $399 design visit goes much deeper: a full usage audit, roof and switchboard assessment, and a custom-engineered solar and battery design in a written specification. If you want a system designed around how your home actually uses power, this is the one.
What happens on the day?
Your licensed electrician spends up to two hours at your home. We go through your power bills and usage patterns, check your switchboard, meter and supply, get up to the roof or assess it properly from the ground, and talk through what you want from backup power. You'll get straight answers on the spot, then the full written design follows within 3 business days.
What do you need from me?
A recent power bill (two or three is even better), access to your switchboard and meter, and about two hours of your time. If your retailer gives you smart meter data, bring that too: the more real usage we have, the sharper the design.
Which brands do you design with?
The brands we install and stand behind: Sigenergy, Fox ESS, GoodWe and Sungrow systems, with Tindo, Trina and Risen panels. The design recommends what genuinely fits your home, usage and budget, from a licensed contractor, not a commission salesperson.
Why only three design visits a week?
Because each one takes real time to do properly: up to two hours on site, then the layout, sizing and specification work behind it. We cap design visits at three a week so the electrician who stood on your roof is the one who finishes your design, and it lands within 3 business days. If the week you want is full, you'll see the next available times in the booking calendar.
Is there any obligation to build with Nuvolt?
None. You get the written design and the fixed-price quote, and the decision is entirely yours. If you go ahead with us, the $399 comes off your installation in full, and the install itself is covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply).
Which areas do you cover?
The design visit covers our core Sunshine Coast area, serviced from our Nambour and Caloundra bases: Caboolture and Bribie Island up to Noosa, the coast in between, and the hinterland out to Maleny. A bit further out? We still come to you. Put your details through the booking form and we'll confirm a small travel charge with you before anything is booked, or call 0425 547 520.
