SolaX Package

SolaX Hybrid + Triple Power Battery + 13.3kW Trina Solar Package

SolaX built Asia's first hybrid inverter back in 2013 and have been in Australia since the middle of that decade, which shows in the two things they do differently: an AC-coupled retrofit option that keeps a good existing solar inverter on the wall, and an Australian battery warranty with unlimited cycles for ordinary self-consumption and backup. We pair a SolaX hybrid inverter, single phase or three phase, with the stackable Triple Power LFP battery and a 13.3kW array of 475W Trina Vertex S+ panels, designed, installed and commissioned by the licensed contractor. The photo is one of ours, a SolaX hybrid with two Triple Power stacks on a Coolum Beach home.

What's included

Everything in the SolaX package.

  • 13.3kW solar array: 28 × Trina Vertex S+ 475W N-type i-TOPCon dual glass panels
  • SolaX hybrid inverter, single phase or three phase to suit your supply
  • SolaX Triple Power stackable LFP battery, 3.6kWh or 5.1kWh modules, sized to your usage and expandable
  • AC-coupled retrofit option that keeps your existing solar inverter where it suits the house, priced alongside the hybrid
  • Emergency supply output for essential circuits with a fast changeover; whole-home backup quoted as an option
  • SolaX Cloud app monitoring for solar, battery and household loads
  • 10-year battery warranty, with unlimited cycles for ordinary self-consumption and backup under SolaX's Australian warranty terms
  • 25-year product warranty, 30-year performance warranty on the panels
  • Full professional installation, testing & commissioning by the licensed contractor
  • Energex / DNSP connection application lodged for you
  • STC & battery rebate paperwork handled end-to-end
  • Lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply)

Conditions & what may be extra

  • Final system size, battery capacity and inverter model are confirmed at the site assessment
  • Quoted after eligible STC and battery rebates; eligibility and the final rebate value depend on your system, zone and situation
  • Switchboard or RCBO upgrades are extra if required
  • Non-standard roofs, tilt frames, difficult access or additional cabling are extra
  • DNSP / export limitation works are extra if required (13.3kW arrays are subject to network approval and may be export limited)
  • SolaX quote 90 percent depth of discharge, so usable capacity is about 90 percent of nominal; every quote states the usable figure, which is also what the federal battery discount is calculated on
  • Array size is matched to the SolaX inverter's maximum PV input for your supply; a single phase hybrid may take a smaller array than 13.3kW, confirmed in your quote
  • Whole-home backup requires additional switching equipment and depends on switchboard condition, circuits and a load assessment
  • Adding modules to an existing stack after the first year generally needs the manufacturer's agreement for voltage matching; tell us at quote stage if you plan to expand

FAQ

SolaX Package Questions

Straight answers on the hardware, the battery sizing, backup and the rebates, from the licensed contractor doing the work.

Why choose SolaX over the other brands you install?

Two reasons stand out. If you already have solar with a good, well supported inverter, SolaX make AC-coupled retrofit units that add a battery beside it instead of replacing it, and we price that path against the hybrid so you can see the difference. And for a household that charges from its own solar every day and discharges every evening, SolaX's Australian warranty terms specify unlimited cycles rather than a throughput cap, which is a meaningfully better promise than most ten-year battery warranties.

Is the advertised SolaX capacity the usable capacity?

No. SolaX quote 90 percent depth of discharge, so the headline figure is nominal and usable is about 90 percent of it. That is a normal engineering choice and part of why the cells last, but it means you must compare usable against usable across brands. Our quote states the usable figure, because that is what runs your house and what the federal battery discount is paid on.

Does it handle blackouts?

The hybrid inverters include an emergency supply output with a fast changeover that feeds selected essential circuits by default. Whole-home backup needs additional switching equipment, so if that is your goal we quote it explicitly and design the changeover around your switchboard and loads rather than promising a word.

Can I add a SolaX battery to the solar I already have?

Yes, two ways. Replace your existing inverter with a SolaX hybrid, which is the right call when the old inverter is ageing or you want more panels, or keep your existing inverter and add an AC-coupled SolaX retrofit unit beside it. AC coupling carries a small extra conversion loss, and backup during an outage depends on the combination, so we price both and explain which suits your house.

Why pair it with 13.3kW of solar?

On a battery system the array is sized to what the inverter manufacturer allows on its PV input rather than to a fixed ratio, and 28 x 475W Trina Vertex S+ panels is our standard whole-home array: more winter generation and an earlier-charged battery. A single phase SolaX hybrid may take a smaller array than a three phase one, and network approval and export limits are confirmed as part of your quote.

Is it rebate eligible?

Yes. SolaX inverters and Triple Power batteries are CEC approved and our installs are signed off by our SAA accredited installer, so eligible solar STCs and the federal battery rebate are applied up front in your written quote. The battery rebate is calculated on usable capacity.

What warranties come with it?

SolaX covers the Triple Power battery with a 10-year warranty, with unlimited cycles for ordinary self-consumption and backup under the Australian terms, and the hybrid inverter with its standard manufacturer warranty. The Trina Vertex S+ panels carry a 25-year product and 30-year performance warranty, and our installation work is covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply, see our Terms). If you sell the home, that workmanship warranty can transfer once to the new owner for 10 years from completion, provided they let us know in writing within 60 days of settlement.
