Add a home battery to a new or existing solar system in Caloundra and across the Sunshine Coast, designed and installed by an SAA accredited team and signed off by a licensed Queensland electrician. We fit batteries from brands like Tesla, BYD, Fox ESS and GoodWe, sized to your real usage rather than the biggest battery a rebate allows. We handle the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate and any solar STC paperwork, the grid connection and switchboard work, with a fixed price before any work begins.
Fox ESS CQ7 Battery Retrofit in Two Sizes
Already have solar? Add serious storage to it. Six or seven Fox ESS CQ7 modules with a Fox ESS 9.99kW single phase hybrid inverter, fully installed, with the federal battery rebate applied up front in your written quote.
What's included

Optional add-on, not part of the base deal. We check your switchboard, circuits and suitability first, then size backup to suit: whether that's whole-home or essential circuits only (fridge, lights, internet) depends on inverter output and your switchboard.
Conditions & what may be extra
- Existing solar PV system must be compliant and suitable for retrofit, confirmed by inspection before connection
- Backup power (EPS) is not included. Every switchboard and every set of protected circuits is different, so backup is designed and priced for your home after we have seen the board
- Switchboard must meet current requirements; upgrades are extra if required
- RCBO upgrades are extra if required
- Standard install assumes the battery and inverter are within 10m of the main switchboard ($50 per metre beyond); wall penetrations, difficult access, or rectifying non-compliant existing wiring/solar are extra
- DNSP / export limitation works are extra if required
- Final system design is subject to site inspection, DNSP requirements, STC eligibility, existing PV compatibility and compliance checks
- Prices apply to installs completed by 31 December 2026; the federal battery rebate steps down on 1 January 2027

The federal battery rebate reduces on 1 January 2027. A battery installed and commissioned before then locks in the current, higher discount.
The Cheaper Home Batteries program discounts your install up front, and the discount value steps down over time. The same battery costs more out of pocket after each step-down, so if a battery is on your list, quoting it this year is the cheap way to do it. Install dates book out ahead of the deadline. Your written quote shows the rebate applied and holds its price.

Finance is provided by Brighte Capital Pty Ltd, not Nuvolt Electrical. Brighte Green Loan from 9.49% p.a. (comparison rate 10.98% p.a.), 7-year term.
