How much will my electrical job cost?
We give you a fixed price before any work begins, so you know the cost upfront with no hidden fees or surprises. A licensed electrician assesses the job on site at our $99 site inspection, you get a written quote the same day, and the $99 is credited back off the job if you go ahead with us.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Every job is completed by a licensed electrician and the work is fully insured. You deal directly with the licensed contractor doing the work, not a sales rep or a subcontracted crew you never meet.
What warranty do you offer on your work?
Our residential electrical work is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty. We test everything before we leave and stand behind the quality of the install, so if our workmanship is ever the problem we put it right. The warranty covers our workmanship only, not product faults, fair wear and tear or natural deterioration, and conditions apply (see our Terms). If you sell the home, it can transfer once to the new owner for 10 years from completion, provided they let us know in writing within 60 days of settlement.
Will I get a compliance certificate after the work?
Yes, where one is required. After the job is finished and tested, we provide the appropriate Queensland electrical certificate, such as a Certificate of Testing and Compliance. Every job is done to AS/NZS 3000 wiring standards.
Does coastal living near Caloundra affect home wiring?
It can. Salt air and humidity on the Sunshine Coast are hard on outdoor fittings, switchboards and metal enclosures, so corrosion and degraded connections can show up faster here than inland. We allow for coastal conditions when we install outdoor lighting, power points and switchboards, and we flag any existing corrosion we find during a job.
My switchboard has old ceramic fuses or keeps tripping. Should I upgrade it?
Most likely, yes. Old boards with ceramic fuses lack modern safety switch (RCD) protection, and frequent tripping or flickering lights often points to a board that is overloaded or past its prime. Can you rewire an older home, or wire a brand new build?
Yes to both. We rewire older homes to bring them up to current standards and we wire new builds from scratch, handling every stage to AS/NZS 3000. Whether it is a full rewire or a single circuit, you get the same fixed-price quote and clean, tidy finish.
What does the $199 electrical safety check include?
It is an on-site inspection of your switchboard and key safety items, a check of your safety switches, and a clear written quote for anything that needs attention. It is for residential properties, and the $199 is credited back in full against any Nuvolt work you go ahead with.
