What is the GoodWe ESA, in plain English?
It is GoodWe's all-in-one home energy system: the hybrid inverter, the battery modules and the switching gear come pre-wired in a single slim cabinet. Instead of a separate inverter on the wall plus a battery tower beside it, you get one clean unit, which usually means a faster install and a tidier garage or wall.
How big can the battery go?
The ESA stacks 5kWh and 8kWh LFP modules up to 48kWh in a single stack, and stacks can be paralleled beyond that. We size the battery to your actual usage at the site assessment rather than selling you the biggest stack a rebate allows.
Does it do blackout backup?
Yes, the ESA supports whole-home backup at up to 63A with UPS-level switchover, so the lights barely flicker when the grid drops. Whether whole-home or essential-circuits backup makes sense for your place depends on your switchboard and loads, which we assess before quoting.
Why pair it with 13.3kW of solar?
A 13.3kW array of 28 x 475W Trina Vertex S+ panels on a roughly 10kW hybrid is the classic maximum-value configuration: it fills the battery earlier in the day, covers more winter and cloudy-day generation, and stays within the standard oversizing rules. Network approval and export limits are confirmed as part of your quote.
Is it rebate eligible?
Yes. The ESA is CEC approved and installs are signed off by our SAA accredited installer, so eligible solar STCs and the federal battery rebate are applied up front in your written quote. Rebate values change over time, so the quote locks in what applies when your install is booked.
What warranties come with it?
GoodWe covers the ESA with a 10-year manufacturer warranty, the Trina Vertex S+ panels carry a 25-year product and 30-year performance warranty, and our installation work is covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply, see our Terms).
