Which Sungrow battery would I get?
Sungrow's stackable LFP batteries come in two families: SBR (3.2kWh modules, typically 9.6 to 25.6kWh) and the newer higher-output SBH (5kWh modules, 20 to 40kWh per stack, expandable across multiple stacks). Which one suits you depends on your supply, loads and backup goals, and we confirm the right pairing in your written quote.
Does it handle blackouts?
Yes, with a compatible backup configuration the Sungrow hybrid keeps essential circuits (or more, depending on the inverter and battery output) running when the grid drops. We assess your switchboard and loads to design backup that actually behaves the way you expect.
Why pair it with 13.3kW of solar?
A 13.3kW array of 28 x 475W Trina Vertex S+ panels on a roughly 10kW hybrid is the classic maximum-value configuration: more winter generation, an earlier-charged battery, and it stays within standard oversizing rules. Network approval and export limits are confirmed as part of your quote.
Is it rebate eligible?
Yes. Sungrow inverters and batteries are CEC approved and our installs are signed off by our SAA accredited installer, so eligible solar STCs and the federal battery rebate are applied up front in your written quote.
What warranties come with it?
Sungrow covers the battery with a 10-year warranty and the hybrid inverter with its standard manufacturer warranty, the Trina Vertex S+ panels carry a 25-year product and 30-year performance warranty, and our installation work is covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply, see our Terms).
