Electrician & Solar Installer in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland
The hinterland is home ground for us. Our workshop is at 19/20 Brookes Street in Nambour, so Palmwoods, Woombye, Yandina and Eumundi are a few minutes away and the range towns of Maleny, Montville, Mapleton and Flaxton are 20 to 30 minutes up the hill. The housing is different from the coast: Queenslanders and post-war timber homes around Nambour and Palmwoods with original switchboards and long cable runs, acreage at Mooloolah Valley, Eudlo and Glass House Mountains with sheds, pumps and sub-mains to sort out, and the range villages where a storm outage lasts longer and a battery with backup earns its keep. Beerwah and Landsborough at the southern end are a straight run down Steve Irwin Way. We do the everyday work up here, faults, switchboards, fans, lighting, smoke alarms and the $199 safety check, alongside solar, batteries and EV chargers sized to the property rather than to a brochure.

Sunshine Coast Hinterland electrical FAQs
Which hinterland towns do you cover?
All of them between the Bruce Highway and the range. Nambour, Burnside and Coes Creek around the workshop, Palmwoods, Woombye and Eudlo down the line, Yandina, Eumundi, Ninderry and Maroochy River to the north, Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Flaxton, Witta, Conondale and Kenilworth on the range, and Mooloolah Valley, Glenview, Landsborough, Peachester, Beerwah, Glass House Mountains and Beerburrum to the south. Most have their own page on this site with the jobs we do there most.
How quickly can you get to Maleny or Montville?
Our workshop is in Nambour, so the range is 20 to 30 minutes away and we are up there most weeks. Faults and small jobs are usually same-day or next-day depending on the run that day, and booked installs are grouped so the date holds. If something is sparking or smoking, ring 0425 547 520 and we will tell you straight what we can do tonight.
Do you work on old Queenslanders and post-war homes?
Constantly. Nambour, Palmwoods, Woombye and Yandina are full of them, and the common finds are ceramic fuses, no safety switch on every circuit, rubber or cotton-covered wiring in the roof and a board with no spare room. We fix what is unsafe first, then quote the switchboard or the rewire with the solar or battery if you want the lot done at once. The $199 safety check is the usual starting point.
Is a battery worth it on the range or on acreage?
More often than on the coast, because outages up here last longer and the line into the property is usually the weak link. A battery sized to your real overnight usage, with the fridge, pump, lights and internet on a backup circuit, covers most storms without you noticing. We size it off a recent bill rather than the biggest unit the rebate allows.
Can you wire a shed, pump or granny flat on acreage?
Yes. Sub-mains to a shed or a second dwelling, three-phase where the street supply allows it, bore and pressure pump circuits, and the long underground runs that acreage always needs. The cable run is the cost driver on these jobs, so we look at the actual distance and route before we price it.
Do you install EV chargers and solar in the hinterland?
Yes, any brand of charger, on single or three phase, and solar and battery systems designed and installed under our SAA accreditation. Long driveways and detached garages mean the cable run matters more here than in town, so photos of your switchboard and the spot you want the charger are the fastest way to a fixed price.
Do you do small jobs, or only solar?
Everything electrical. Fault-finding, power points, lighting, ceiling fans, smoke alarms, hot water elements, air conditioning circuits, switchboards and the $199 safety check, as well as solar, batteries and EV chargers. Being based in Nambour means a small job in the hinterland is a short trip, not a special one.
