Tindo solar panels, made in Australia
Built in South Australia. Heavier frame, cyclone tested here, and a warranty that pays you $1,000 if a panel ever needs replacing (conditions apply).

Tindo have been building solar panels in Mawson Lakes, just north of Adelaide, since 2011. Almost every other panel on an Australian roof was made overseas and shipped here, which makes the Walara an unusual thing to be able to offer.
We install the Walara 475W all black as the top of our panel range. It is not the cheapest panel we sell and we would not pretend otherwise. What you get for the difference is a 35mm frame instead of the usual 30mm, cyclone testing carried out here by an Australian engineering firm, and a warranty you claim from a company in South Australia rather than an overseas support queue.
That warranty got sharper again in November 2025. Buy Tindo N-type panels from then on, register the system with Tindo, and if a panel ever needs replacing under a valid warranty claim, Tindo pays you $1,000 on top of fixing it. They are the only panel maker in the country confident enough in their product to put money on it.
We are Australian owned and operated ourselves, run by the licensed electrician who does the work, so backing a manufacturer in the same position is an easy call for us.
Why we rate it
- Designed and manufactured in Mawson Lakes, South Australia, under Australian Made licence 8677
- 35mm black anodised frame, thicker than the 30mm frame on most imported panels, which resists flex and the micro-cracking that comes with it
- N-type TOPCon cells, 120 half cells, 16 busbar
- 3.2mm double anti-reflective coated front glass
- Cyclone tested by Structural Engineering Consultants Australia
- Hail tested to 25mm hail at 23m/s, and load tested to 5400Pa on the front face
- Every panel is tested at 7 quality checkpoints on the Mawson Lakes line before it ships
- All black, so it disappears into a dark roof instead of framing every panel in silver
- $1,000 Worry Free Warranty on panels bought from 1 November 2025, once the system is registered with Tindo (conditions apply)
- Warranty handled by an Australian company on Australian time, and it covers the labour to swap a panel, not just the panel itself

The warranty, in plain English
Panel warranties are usually a PDF nobody reads until something goes wrong. This one is worth two minutes, because it is the strongest reason to buy the panel. Here is what Tindo actually promises, straight from their own warranty documents.
If a Walara fails through a defect in materials or workmanship within 25 years, Tindo repairs it, replaces it, or refunds it. Not a pro-rata token gesture in year 20: the product warranty runs the full 25.
At least 97% of rated output in the first year, then a guaranteed fade of no more than 0.4% a year, so the panel still has to make at least 87.4% of its nameplate power in year 25.
A valid claim covers parts, transport, removal and reinstallation, not just a replacement panel in a box. Tindo notes travel costs can apply well outside the capital cities, and we will be straight with you about how that lands here.
On Tindo N-type panels bought from 1 November 2025, a valid warranty claim that requires a replacement also pays you $1,000. One payment per home, for the original purchaser, once the system is registered with Tindo.
Sell the place and the 25 year warranty carries over to the new owners while the panels stay on that roof. The $1,000 offer itself stays with the original purchaser, but the cover does not fall over because the title changed hands.
Claims go straight to Tindo in South Australia on 1300 846 367. No importer in the middle, no distributor who stopped stocking the brand, no time zone gymnastics.
The $1,000 Worry Free Warranty needs the system registered with Tindo within 60 days of installation, and we point you at the registration when we hand your system over. All of it sits on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights, and the full terms are in Tindo's own documents below.
What you get either way
The panel changes. The rest of it does not.
Designed, installed and signed off by the licensed Queensland electrical contractor who does the work, not a salesperson and a subcontractor.
A certificate of electrical safety on every job, and the rebate and grid connection paperwork handled for you.
Our own work carries a lifetime workmanship warranty (conditions apply), separate from the manufacturer warranty on the panel.
A $99 site inspection, then a fixed written quote the same day. No free design that is really a sales call.
Australian owned and operated. Local crew on the Sunshine Coast. No overseas call centres.
Weighing it against the others?
We install three panels and we will tell you honestly which one suits your roof and your budget.

Dual glass, 30 year performance warranty, and the panel in every one of our packages.

Same 475W, same N-type cells, 30 year performance warranty, lowest cost per watt.
See all three side by side or look at the full solar and battery packages.
Where we do this
We install Tindo Solar panels right across the Coast, and these are the suburbs we are in most weeks.
